What your feeling when you see the picture? I think you are so interested to visit this place right because it is beautiful island.Langkawi is the most popular island in our country to visit, there are many history in there such as Mahsuri Legends.

Origin of the name
The name Langkawi can be divide into two parts that includes 'Lang' and 'Kawi'. The word 'Lang' comes from the Malaya word 'Helang' which means eagle. In the past days the land was a home to innumerable eagles. 'Kawi' is the Sanskrit word for marble, which is found in excess in this part of Malaysia. Both these words together joined to form the word 'Helangkawi' which ultimately became as Langkawi. Another reference found in the book of Tun Mohamed Zahir's named 'The Legends of Langkawi' refers that the place got its name from the twin words 'Langka' and 'Wi'. While the former means beauty in Sanskrit, the latter stands for innumerable. As such the word actually stands to signify many beautiful islands.

Mahsuri
Many acknowledge Mahsuri to be the sole reason for the success of Langkawi. As known from the legend the rule of Sultan Abdullah Mukarram Shah II saw the arrival of a man named Pandak Maya. After eating some magical grain his wife gave birth to a beautiful daughter who was named as Mahsuri. But after marrying Mat Deris, the son of the chief of Langkawi, she was accused of adultery. False accusations led her to the death bed. It is believed that when she was stabbed white blood gushed out just to prove her innocence. As such the land was cursed. To counter it a mausoleum was erected and the family was welcomed back to the island.

On 27th February 2010, our society which is Business Society do an event for part 1 student known as ' Suai Kenal Part 1' . Students from course Banking, Business and Pre Commerce were attend this event. The advantage of this event to help student in part 1 know their lecturer, flow of their studies and also know their senior. This is good for them because this the first time they entered university and begin new life in different education style and new environment. On that day, the senior advise them how to study and learn time management. Other than that, we separate junior in group and give task to every group to create their vision and mission for group and each group involve in bom games and other games, we also do aerobics.They really enjoy with their senior and lecturer. Every group got a present, hope this event was memorable for our junior.

According to interview between Karl Kapp and Cisco’s Tom Kelly,he choose this book for now because of, he tried to eliminate some of the arguments about information, communication, and education versus training, and just talk about content and making people successful in their jobs. And because we have been successful doing that, we wanted to share the elements we have developed for success. This is the reason when the argument occur the effectiveness and scalability. He assumes that the classroom training is not consistently effective. It completely depends on the passion, enthusiasm, and expertise of the instructor and the willingness of the learner. So availability is the difference, not quality instruction, availability is what makes it effective. Some people said thet e-learning are just peaked but he don’t think that was the peak. He think it was the first salvo in coalescing an industry. Before that statement there were very few companies in the e-learning space, there was little or no product in learning management, content management, or very many authoring tools that had any scalability. He also assumes there are a variety of tools to deliver the same content in different ways. The delivery of the learning should be based on how the learner wants to get it not how the designer wants to create it. He think that is the difference in how training has worked in the past and how training in the corporate and private sector has to work in the future.

How To Make Gluten Free Dinner Rolls

We found new receipe and we would like to share with you guys!!! The receipe is variation of Mochi bread.. this bread is crisp on the outside and chewy (though a little doughy) on the inside, unlike most gluten free breads which are dry and crumbly. The trick behind this easy recipe is to use glutinous rice flour (which despite its name is gluten free) to give it a soft, chewy texture. Glutinous rice flour is not expensive and can be found at most Asian grocery stores.

the ingredients is :

200 g glutinous rice flour (also known as sticky rice flour or mochiko flour)
60 g plain gluten rice flour
3/4 tsp gluten free baking powder
100 ml hot water
30 g margarine or butter, at room temperature
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp milk
1 egg

the step is:

1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F).

2. Sieve both flours and the baking powder into a bowl.

3. In a separate bowl, mix the hot water, margarine, sugar and salt until the margarine melts and the sugar and salt dissolve.

4. In another separate bowl, beat the egg with the milk until combined

5. Add the hot water mixture to the flour mixture, then stir until combined.

6. Add the egg/milk mixture to the other ingredients, it should form a thick and very sticky dough. If your dough is too dry add some water, if it is too wet add some gluten free flour.

7. Roll pieces of dough into balls and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Golf ball sized pieces work well but you can make them a bit larger, just be aware that larger pieces will need to cook longer. You may wish to brush the tops with milk to make them brown better.

8. Cook for 20 minutes at 170°C (340°F), then reduce the heat to 150°C (300°F) and cook for a further 10 minutes.

9. Remove from oven and allow to cool, best eaten while still warm.

you can eat in evening or tea time... try and taste it!!!

Business Society Club open their booth. The participation of students was encouraged. Business Society booth make some activities such as games and they activities was enjoyable.

Nice to see all of you again.

Today, we would like to share about election in our university yesterday.. For your information, one of our members are also compete as a candidates in the election for Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Pelajar.

Actually, to face the scenario,many preparation had been done to get attention from all the students to vote.
For instance, the banner will be hang at billboard...
The fliers will be given by the club members to public...
The most important thing,all the candidates have to show their skills in public relation to convince them that he or she can be act on behalf of the students to get their rights...
it seems like very tough duty right???
yesterday...the election already done.. but since today we still did not know about the results..
just wait and see!!!!

Yesterday our campus UiTM Jengka Pahang have received Sultan Pahang and Tengku Mahkota Pahang. Sultan Pahang launched a “Forum Hak dan Perpaduan Melayu dalam Konteks 1 Malaysia. This is interesting and sweet memories for us as a student.

In the event, our new Vice Cansellor of UiTm which is Dato’ Prof Ir Dr Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar has attend the event. At 1 p.m Tengku Mahkota has came to multi purpose hall of UiTM Jengka. Around 2.30 p.m the Sultan Pahang has arrived at rugby field by helicopter. Students who in part 1,2 and 3 are involve in this event. They welcomed Sultan Pahang along the road in our campus. Most of them very excited and happy.
